I remember hearing about something similar for the higher mass stars, so it's nice to see it for the M dwarfs too.

Getting the metallicities for the young groups is certainly a worthwhile endeavor! If I get the SpeX time I asked for (to observe some beta Pic candidates) and end up finding some new young members, I may check in with you to see if we can derive metallicities for these dwarfs.Strakulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11408235787760065739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500421841261129447.post-82878724724663320742012-11-06T15:32:46.396-05:002012-11-06T15:32:46.396-05:00I've been trying to figure out what it is the ...I've been trying to figure out what it is the range of metallicities in these type of groups, the papers I found have few stars in each group, which I think it is not enough to figure out the average metallicity of the young associations ... (talking about groups of stars: did you see the paper about multiple MS for M dwarfs in globular clusters?)CosmicBabshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17653560311174019335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500421841261129447.post-16165719191952833292012-11-05T12:35:28.275-05:002012-11-05T12:35:28.275-05:00I haven't looked into the metallicities yet. Do you know the range of metallicities that the stars in a moving group exhibit? CosmicBabshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17653560311174019335noreply@blogger.com
